Uber Driver Who Drove Jeezy 10 Hours Salutes Him in Video…

The Uber driver who got Jeezy to his Baltimore concert delivered a video message to commend the “legend” of a rapper.
On Wednesday (Aug. 20), The Recession artist stopped by talk show Today discuss the 20th anniversary of his debut album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101, and his symphonic tour.
Around the three-minute mark of the video below, Jeezy recalled the Uber driver, Tanner, driving him from Atlanta to Baltimore after flights had been canceled due to severe weather conditions.
“Three minutes into the ride, I say, ‘Hey, man, we’ve gotta get to Baltimore,'” Jeezy recalled of his first interaction with Tanner. “He looks at me and he goes, ‘OK, let me think about it.’
“And I said, ‘No, I’m serious. We gotta get there now,'” Jeezy continued.
Tanner agreed to the 10-hour trip, and despite Jeezy arriving with “leg cramps,” he got on with the show and went onstage mere minutes before the concert began.
Jeezy went on to call Tanner a “rockstar” and was surprised with a video from Tanner.
“Hey, Jeezy. It’s Tanner,” the driver began. “What a great ride, man. You the real legend. Thank you again, and thank you to all of your team and all of your fans, in particular, have been super great. And have just really shown a lot of love ever since.”
Tanner continued, “I’m looking forward to the future and all the great work that’s going to come out of this. So, God is good.”
“Wow,” Jeezy said after the video ended. “Yeah, he’s my guy. Shout out to Tanner.”
He added, “I’ve never been surprised before. That surprised me.”
During his Baltimore concert, Jeezy brought Tanner onstage and gifted him a Snowman tee.
“Shout out to the real MVP, my Uber driver Tanner! Not all heroes wear capes!” Jeezy captioned an Instagram post from the show.
